A motorcyclist turns a sharp left corner by applying equal but opposite forces of 40N to the ends of the handlebars. The length of the handlebars 0.67m. Calculate the torque applied to the end of the handlebars. Give your solution to 1 decimal place.

T=F*D Substitute the values 40N for force and 0.67m for perpendicular distance between the forces. Thus 40N multiplied by 0.67m= 26.8
