Tessellate - S.T.E.M.S - Physics - School - Set 2 - Problem 4

Level 2

A military tank moves with velocity V V along x-axis and has its gun making angle θ \theta with respect to x-axis. A bullet is shot is fired with velocity v 'v' (with respect to tank).

V = 10 m / s V = 10 m/s , v = 20 m / s v=20 m/s , θ = 6 0 o \theta = 60^o

mass of tank (without bullet) = 9 kg

mass of bullet = 1 kg

For a person on the ground, after the bullet is shot, the velocity vector of bullet makes an angle ϕ '\phi' . What is the angle of the velocity vector with respect to x-axis?
