The actual time is t 0 1 v 2 c 2 \frac{t_0}{\sqrt{1-\frac{v^2}{c^2}}} , where t 0 t_0 is the apparent time, by Special Relativity. This gives us 30 = t 0 1 ( 1.8 × 1 0 8 ) 2 ( 3.00 × 1 0 8 ) 2 30=\frac{t_0}{\sqrt{1-\frac{(1.8\times10^8)^2}{(3.00\times10^8)^2}}} . Solving, t 0 = 24 t_0=24 , so the final answer is 25 + 24 = 49 25+24=\boxed{49} .
