The height of the shape is 4 and the width is 3 multiplying both would give you double it's area. So if you divided it by two you would get 6 as the area for the triangle.

1/2 x base x hieght, simple middle school sum Anyone can solve it

area= 1/2 base times height...

Simple formula, 1/2 base height= 1/2multiply4multiply3=6
