The ant and the mosquito

An ant is on the outer surface of a cube at a corner, it wants to go to diagonally opposite point of the cube. Similarly a mosquito wants to go to the diagonally opposite point. Both have same speed. Which one will reach faster?

Since both are on the outer surface ( not on inner surface) both need to cover the same distance.

The problem failed to state whether the mosquito flew or walked. Therefore, the problem cannot be solved.
