A great way to solve this is by using the fact that the sum of infinite terms of a gp is a/1-r.

But it is not applicable when the common ratio is > or =1.

Thus we make 2 cases. in the 1st, the answer is 1.& in the other it is 0.

So we average it to get 1/2

Wrong question, though.
