You've trained for the aquathon and can do any one of these things: completely empty a bucket onto a ground, completely fill up a bucket from the sink, or pour water from one bucket into another bucket until the bucket you're pouring is empty or the bucket being poured into is full. If you have an empty 18L (Liter) bucket, a 15L bucket with 8L in it, another 15L bucket with 9L in it, then a 15L bucket with 10L in it, and a 15L bucket with 11L in it, is it possible to measure out exactly 12L using each bucket at least once in the process?

Pour 10L from the third 15L bucket into 18L bucket/2. Pour 8L from the first 15L bucket into the 18L bucket/3. Empty the 18L bucket/4. Pour 11L from the fourth 15L bucket into the 18L bucket/5. Fill up the 18L bucket to max capacity/6. Pour the 18L bucket into the second 15L bucket (currently filled with 9L) until the second 15L bucket is full. When the second 15L bucket is full, there will be 12L left in the 18L bucket. Even though some buckets weren't helpful in the process, we used all of them at least once, for emptying, filling, or pouring into another container, so the answer is Yes . You might have solved the problem a different way. If your solution met the required constraints, your solution is valid. Comment down below your solution. Also comment down below what you think is the answer to this question (though you don't have to answer it): If all of the buckets you used started out empty, how was 8L, 9L, 10L, and 11L each poured into one of the 15L containers if you only had one 18L container and four 15L containers (the ones you used in the problem) to use?
