An airship is filled with helium of volume 1L in Texas where the temperature is 316 K and if it sails to Alaska where the temperature reduces to 293 K. To the nearest ml, what will be the volume of the helium in Alaska?

Assume the change in pressure to be negligible.

880 ml 900 ml 1000 ml 927 ml

1 solution

Use Charles' law for this V 1 T 1 \frac{V1}{T1} = V 2 T 2 \frac{V2}{T2}

I'm getting a different answer. Can you show your calculations?
