There is a very large bus in a certain city. In it a busdriver drives 10 adults, each with 10 children, who in turn each have 10 friends with them.

Assuming that there are no other passengers, how many people are there on the bus altogether?

There is 1 busdriver, then 10 adults, then 100 children, then 1000 friends, hence there are 1111 people in total.

1+10+100+1000

1 Driver + 10 Adults + 10*10 Children + 10 *10 *10 Friends = 1+10+100+1000 = 1111
