The equation should be 4(x-18)=x

Which means that 4x-72=x

Subtract x from both sides and you get 3x-72=0

Which is the came as 3x = 72

So x=24

  • B= Bob / A = Adam
  • B = A
  • B = 4(B-18)
  • B = 4B-72
  • B-4B = -72
  • -3B = -72
  • -3B/-3 = -72/-3
  • B = 24 = A
