The only place on earth where walking 1km south, 1km west and 1km north brings you back to your tent is at the northpole. The bears that live there – polar bears – are white .

There is another place, technically: 1km north of the southern line of latitude that is precisely 1km in circumference. However there are no bears in Antarctica.
