$\large \underbrace{x + x + x + \cdots +x}_{x \text{ number of times}} = 144$

What is the value of $x$ ?

$x+x+x+...$ (x times) = $x^2$

$x^2 = 144$

$x = 12$ or $-12$ (rej cos x is natural).

I could not understand how x +x+x......+ x times become x^2, plz clear my confusion

If you add x, x times it means x time x

x×x=x^2

$x+x+x+..............(x times)$ = 144. taking x common from each term we get,
$x(1+1+1+......(x times))$ =144.
$x\times x$ = 144.
$x^{2}$ =144
x = 12
