The farm problem.

Last night the farm's chicken eggs were stolen! After the police came to investigate, they found three main suspects, Bob, Catherine, and Jacey. One of them is the thief! Bob said, "I'm not the thief." Catherine said, "Jacey is the thief." Then finally Jacey replies" Fiddlesticks it's not me! Bob is innocent." If the innocent tells the truth and the thief always tells lies who is the thief?

Catherine is the obvious thief! This is because if she is lying, then Jacey and Bob's statements add up with each other making their statement true, and making Catherine go behind the bars!

Jacey is basically saying that Catherine is the thief, so her statement and Catherine's statement comtrsduct each other i. e. one is true, the other is false. As there ar 2 true statement and one false one, Bob is telling the truth. This means Jacey is telling the truth. So, the liar and, subsequently, the thief, is Catherine.
