The First of Seven Problems - Easy Rage

Level pending

Between today and tommorow hopefully I can get 7 problems written.The first and last will be easy/hard rage problems while 2-6 will be easy record.The 1st problem is as follows.The last one I had to do more than 2 hours of thinking for so good luck with that.The score(in percent I got on my science quiz(sademoji)) is 10 n {10}{n} , where n {n} is 4 a m {4}{a}{m} .The expansion of ( x + 1 ) p = 0 ({x}+1)^{p}=0 will result in the quantity y being equal to a m p a^{{m}{p}} .If b {b} is the number of roots of the polynomial expansion(r sub i are the roots) then y = | i = 1 b r i \sum_{i=1}^{b}{r}_{i} | +(| i = 2 b r 1 r i + ( i = 3 b r 2 r i \sum_{i=2}^{b}{{r}_{1}}*{{r}_{i}} + (\sum_{i=3}^{b}{{r}_{2}*{{r}_{i}}} ...etc|)) ............etc( absolute value of sum of product of roots taken in all possible amounts in all ways).Find the score I got on my science test. Note that each product of n roots together term has the absolute value bars around it.

The answer is 80.

y represents Vieta's formulas. It is the sum of the coefficients of the polynomial shown.Since that is just p choose k for k 0 through p we have y=2^1*p.4x2x1=8.8x10=80.UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

note that i used a binomial identity that the sum of (p k) for all k 0 through p is 2^p
