Inferences, in chronological order:
1) Norwegian lives in first house. His house must be yellow, since the blue house is 2nd, the green and white houses are neighbors, and the Brit lives in the red house. Since he lives in the yellow house, he smokes Dunhills.
2) The green house must be #3 or #4, with the white house next to it at #4, #5 respectively. The owner of the green house drinks coffee. But the man living in the center house drinks milk. So the green house must be #4, the white house #5, and the red house #3. And the Brit lives in the red house.
3) The horse owner lives next to the yellow house, since that is where the Dunhill smoker lives. Thus the horse is in #2.
4) what does the Norwegian drink? Not milk (#3) or coffee (green house) and not root beer (drunk by Blue Master smoker). And not tea, since he's not Danish. Thus the Norwegian drinks water.
5) His neighbor in #2 smokes blends. That means he cannot drink root beer, so he drinks tea (and is Danish), and the person in #5 drinks root beer and smokes Blue Master.
6) The German smokes Prince, and thus does not live in 2 or 5, and must live in #4. That puts the Swede in #5, with his dog.
7) the only cigarette left is Pall Mall, which the Brit must smoke in #3. Thus he owns a bird.
8) The man who smokes blends (the Dane) is next-door to the cat owner, who is not the Brit, and must be the Norwegian.
9) The only place left for the fish is the German's house, #4.
