The Glory of the Stage

A mathematics professor went to see a performance of Hamlet . He determined that the actors present spoke 14,443 words and took 5,252 steps during the performance.

He amused himself by quickly figuring out the GCD of those two numbers. What was his result?

14443 = 11 * 13 * 101

5252 = 4 * 13 * 101

The GCD is clearly 13 * 101 = 1313
