Mirrors typically use the divergent wave propagation properties of the compounds layered to make them to generate a clear reflection. Light that travels through glass and silver, for example, undergoes transformations as it interacts with the two compounds that are different enough from each other to send back electron waves in a specular (non-diffuse) fashion. Typically, light that interacts and is reflected off of a shiny metal "diffuses", or scatters, but for mirrors it converges appropriately to replicate the real world in every way except heat and magnetism. In short, the returning oscillations after the photons have been exchanged by glass, silver, and then back through the glass end up being nearly identical (but reversed) arrangements of the electromagnetic waves that initially reached the mirror's surface.
While this is a gross simplification of the process at a quantum mechanical level, this absorption, exchange, and propagation "reflects" the same transformation that occurs at the event horizon of a black hole. Theoretical physics tells us that space and time invert right at the edge of a black hole in order to allow "virtual" particles to escape the attractive force of gravity and become "real" - or capable of interacting with other particles. This is just one dimension up from the process of your mirror image projecting a spatially-inversed version of you, and that extra dimension is time .
By switching space and time, the event horizon also reverses both. While space "reversing" more or less means the conversion of matter and energy into information, the reversal of time violates a fundamental type of quantum symmetry called parity transformation. Parity is more or less the angular or inertial direction of a molecule's, wave's, or particle's momentum. Thanks to the Weak Interacting force - one of the four fundamental forces commanding everything that happens in the universe - parity actually disobeys the causal structure of the universe as adherent to time. While we see a reality that flows through time via "cause" and "effect", this is not actually accurate to describe the underlying structure of phenomena. The spatiotemporal flipping of images from projection (emission) to sensation (absorption/optical detection) to perception (occipital activation) might not even occur in this order. Maybe occipital activation is the cause and optical sensation followed by projection from a light source are the effects . This would essentially mean that perception - or awareness - "undoes" the symmetry violation of Weak Interacting particles by reflecting them around imaginary axes and reducing them into tiny slices of subjective experience.
Where flat mirrors create a 2D image, spinning mirrors are used to create a 3D hologram since they "simultaneously" reflect light at many angles when the frame of reference is rotated about a spatial axis. So what, then, can we say about spinning black holes? As spheres (as opposed to panels) that don't seem to have an apparent reflection, black holes exist in an additional dimension that could involve rotation of an image about a temporal axis instead. By extension, a spinning black hole might produce a 4D image using 3D information about the universe. The additional quality of spin doesn't effect the black hole itself - just the movement of particles around its event horizon - supporting its existence as a possible mirror reflecting information at a +1D level versus a ball of glass and silver. In other words, the event horizon reads the information intrinsic to independent images and records motion based on the comparison of those images to project a dynamic mirror universe.
The theory of Hawking Radiation predicts that this information is propagated out into the universe as black holes' masses radiate away. This "black body entropy" concept coupled with the possibility of holographic projection via rotation around axes in both space and time could together imply that entropy - a measure of possibility - uses information across expanses of time to determine the properties of the things it affects at specific instants of time. When we add the elements of heat and magnetism back in, the further implications of this could allow the graviton to emerge as a new addition to the Standard Model of particle physics [ Table 1 ].

How could we modify the existing Standard Model to reflect the possibility of a holographic universe projected from the event horizon?
All known particles are listed above - this is the current Standard Model of Particle Physics. It lists and categorizes the particles by form (matter/fermionic vs. force/bosonic) and interacting force (gravity, electromagnetism, or the strong or weak nuclear interactions). The model is sometimes rendered with the graviton shown where it would make the most sense if proven to exist, but until General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics can both reconcile the problem of gravity, we can't say for sure where the graviton ought to be placed.
As theoretical physics and quantum mechanics aren't exactly the simplest topics, try browsing Wikipedia, scholarly article abstracts, or other categories on Brilliant for more information before attempting your own explanation of the graviton. "Physics BSM", "Hawking radiation", or "quantum field theory" would yield search results addressing the more basic concepts underlying theories of gravity. Articles or texts on "CPT symmetry", "parity transformation", "loop quantum gravity", "M-theory", and the "Holographic Principle" would also likely contain helpful information.
Most of my own research came from watching videos on YouTube. Channels like Kurzgesagt, 3blue1brown, and PBS Space Time were great starting points to my virtual adventure. If you're not a huge fan of reading like me, I would highly recommend them. I'd also recommend these channels for anyone with a background in the formal sciences like logic or mathematics who's seeking to better understand the application of these concepts to the real world. They're great at tying in connections to natural sciences like physics, astronomy, or chemistry.

While we may be able to add the tachyon and X and Y bosons to the Standard Model when we incorporate things that move backwards through time, we can't say for sure where the graviton would fall until we understand how gravity works in a time-reversed universe. Until time-reversal experiments become possible, we can't even provide empirical evidence for the graviton's existence. If gravity is just an illusion, for example, then it might be better described as an emergent property of the interactions of actual, real particles.
Nevertheless, CPT-symmetry is tested conceptually by rotating information around every spatial axis (x, y, and z) AND a temporal axis (in this case w). In one of his last publications, Stephen Hawking suggested that the "apparent horizon" of a black hole's Hawking radiation may emit tachyons and spectral gravitons . If the event horizon of a black hole contains information from the Big Bang to an eventual Big Rip, Big Bounce, or other heat-death scenario, then the Hawking radiation might be able to use the information to alter the past via massless photons moving faster than light (or backward in time) alongside coupled projections of motion that could generate a sort of "illusory mass" to accompany the visual images of the retrocausality-inducing photons.
My research into a highly underdeveloped scientific field - Oneirology - has led me to hypothesize that the tachyons and spectral gravitons Hawking was referring to actually manifest in the observable, forward-flowing universe as dream content , and that consciousness itself is a type of energy with negative mass capable of holding virtual and real particles apart by splitting nothingness into horizon-bound universes. The graviton to conscious beings is like the Higgs boson to the LHC: it gives "weight" to things that enter the universe through a membrane layer of possibility - a.k.a. imagination.
