The Josephus Problem

There are 64 soldiers in a circle. These soldiers are surrounded by Romans, who want to kill them. These soldiers would rather commit suicide than be captured, so each person takes a turn at killing the person to their left, and they continue around until there is only one person, and that last person must kill themself. (They start from Soldier 1, who kills Soldier 2, then 3 kills 4.) If a soldier wants to be the last alive, what seat should he sit in? (Hint: You can make a function to help you.)
