The Monty Hall Problem

Logic Level 1

You are at the final round in a game show. There are three doors. In one door there is a sports car. In the other two there are goats. The way this gameshow works is you choose a random door. Then, the host will open a different door - which always has a goat. After that you have the option to switch to the one remaining closed door, or stick with the one you have. What should you do to have the highest probability of getting the sports car?

Switch None of the options above Stick Doesn't matter

At first theres a 66% chance of you choosing a goat. Given that this is probability lets go with that. So you've chose a goat. The host opens the other door with a goat. Now the only unchosen door is the one with the car. Therefore, you always switch.

At the start you are randomly guessing so you have a 1 in 3 chance of winning. Once the host reveals one of the two goats, this results in the un-opened having a 1 in 2 chance of winning
