Figure 1 depicts the flow of air at M = 3 inside a channel whose lower wall first deflects the flow upwards through an oblique shock that is reflected from the plane wall and hits back on the lower wall without causing any further reflections. If θ = 10 deg, find the ratios h / H and x / H. Further, for θ = 5, 15, 20 and 25 deg, obtain the values of the ratios h / H and x / H (if the shock system shown in the figure is possible) and plot their values as function of θ. (H is the height of channel at inlet, accidentally omitted in the figure)
