Actually, the answer is incorrect. Although 1000 − 999 1000-999 is 1, it is not the answer, because we can see that ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , . . . , 1000 ) − ( 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , . . . , 999 ) (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ..., 1000)-(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ..., 999) cancels out all but the number 1000. 1000. Thus, 1 , 000 1,000 should be the answer, not 1. Please revise.
