2+u+1/2(u)+1/4(u)=100. then u(7/4)=100-2 or u=98*4/7=56

two,were there. let x be the flock of birds according to the question, 2 + x + x/2 + x/4 =100 on solving,we get x=56.

fraction larger than unity is given as difference between two numbers. solving 7x/4=100-2=98 we get x=56.
