suppose that the enthalpy change that occurs when 1g of water vaporizes at it's boiling point is 1.292 Kilojoule............. Tell me what shall be the change in entropy??

delta S = H(vap)/T(bp) = 1292 J /373.15K = 3.46 J/K.

Entropy change = ( (change in enthalpy)/(absolute temperature) )

So you get 1292/373 = 3.46...
