Thermodynamics 3

The two popular units of measuring the temperature are Fahrenheit F ^\circ F and Celsius C ^\circ C .

If the temperature of body changes by 3 6 F 36 ^\circ F , how much change in temperature would occur on the Celsius scale?

Hint:

It is known that the water freezes at 0 C 0^\circ C or 3 2 F 32^\circ F and boils at 10 0 C 100^\circ C or 21 2 F 212^\circ F .

We know that,

9 5 \dfrac{9}{5} Degree Fahrenheit change= 1 1 Degree Celsius change

so,36 Degree Fahrenheit change= 5 × 36 9 \dfrac{5 ×36}{9} = 20 20 Degree Celsius Change
