Thieves #2

Logic Level 2

A bank called national bank, some money from the bank has been stolen. Cops arrested three suspicious people. They all are dressed like cops, so they don't know who's the thief (bad guy). The cops will tell the truth (because they are good), and the thief will tell the truth too to make himself appear like a good cop. They are Randy, Ron and Rex.

They made the following statements,

Randy: Rex is not the thief.

Ron: One of you both is the thief!

Rex: I'm not the thief.

With these details, can you find out who is the thief?

Rex Randy Ron Wrong suspects!

as everyone(suspects) is telling the truth.so, person-1.........Rex is not the thief...........[so, it is sure that Rex is not the thief]

now,Person-2(Ron) says that ....One of you both is the thief..........by this comment...he is claiming himself himself to be innocent as he is indicating the two others.as it is proved that Rex is innocent, so, there remains only Randy.

so, Randy is the thief.

The thief (and the cops) are telling the truth, we can conclude that every statement said is true. Since Randy claims R is not the thief, Re is out (Rex also claims he's not the thief). Ron claims that the thief is either Rady or Rex. However, Rex is already confirmed not to be the thief, thus Randy is the thief.
