This year, Sam's birthday is on a Monday. What is the minimum amount of time in years before his birthday is on a Monday again? Assume this year isn't a leap year and next year isn't a leap year

I would use abstract algebra to solve it. Let x= the amount of years it will take before his birthday is on a Monday again X= mod 7=0 Therefore x/7= a whole number meaning x is a multiple of seven since we are trying to find the minimum amount of time before his birthday is on another Monday the answer must be seven.

Ps. the only reason I used the equal sign instead of the modular arithmetic sign is because my computer can't make that sign.
