Think about factoring the numbers!

I have 12 egg tarts.

I can arrange these 12 egg tarts in a rectangular box of dimensions 1 × 12 1 \times 12 , 2 × 6 2\times6 and 3 × 4 3\times 4 .

So, in total, I have 3 distinct ways to arrange these 12 egg tarts in a rectangular box.

How many distinct ways can I arrange 72 eggs in a rectangular box?

Assume you cannot stack one egg tart above another.

We only searh the number of 72's factor. Since we know that a x b = b x a because we can see length as the same as width from different angel. Because of that we have to divide the amount of factors by 2. There are 12 factors. So the answer is 12:2 = 6
