A vending machine has 5 different fruit juices, 2 different cans of soda. How many combinations are there if you can choose 1 fruit juice and 1 soda at a time?

Here is how you do it... (as the numbers are small you can count it)
The first can will have five combinations (by counting).
The second can, similarly, will have five more combinations (by counting).
Hence there are ten combinations............
It could have been better if you could have added that each can and each fruit juice had separate combinations.
