"This little piggy went to market"

Piggy went in his car to market. On the way to market, he had an average speed of 25 km/hr. On the way back, he went at 35 km/hr.

Find his average velocity.

velocity is a vector quantity which means it is distance travelled in a certain direction (displacement). Since the total distance from start to end was 0 the velocity is also 0

Good problem. This one tricked me at first but then as the displacement is zero the avg. velocity is also zero. Displacement is zero as the initial and final points are the same ( coincide) and the shortest path length between them is 0.

Simple, you go somewhere and return back to where you were, your average velocity becomes 0 as average velocity is Displacement divided by Time.

P.S. Why is this a level 2 question?

I think many got confused and chose 30 as the answer

velocity is a vector quantity and equals displacement/time. Since displacement is 0, so is velocity .
