Tic-Tic-Tic goes the clock-clock-clock

Logic Level 2

Assume that you are playing a tic-tac-toe game with an opponent. You play as O O while your opponent plays as X X .

On which place should you place your next move so that you will lose the next turn regardless of where your opponent's next move is?

O wants to end the game quickly whereas X wants to keep the game going in the longest manner. So, if O marks on 1,3 or 4, then X would place on 2, so the game is not yet over.

But, if O marks on 2, then X should have to mark on 1,3 or 4. And he wins if he place on either of these places. So, the game gets over in only 1 step which is desired by O.

So, the answer is 2 \boxed{2} .

Cool bro. You have a nice logic.!

But if x were playing optimally, either way, he'd win.

That is what the question exactly is about. You should place it in such a spot such that you will loose regardless of the opponents next move.
