Let the required length be d d . Then according to the given conditions,

d d ( d 90 ) d 11 = 80 d-\dfrac{d(d-90)}{d-11}=80

79 d d 11 = 80 d = 880 \implies \dfrac {79d}{d-11}=80\implies d=\boxed {880} meters.
