Let X, Y and Z be the initial amounts the sons get, and the interest rate (1.035) be A.

X+Y+Z=100000

X(A^10)=Y(A^13)=Z(A^16): since 10, 13 and 16 are the respective number of years the sons will need to wait before they turn 25.

Therefore Y=X/(A^3) and Z=X/(A^6) after cancelling extraneous factors of A.

Plugging these results into X+Y+Z=10000 allows you to solve for X, which is sufficient to find the answer as X(A^10)
