The equivalent resistance across A A & B B is of the form p q \dfrac{p}{q} , where p p and q q are coprime positive integers, find p + q p + q .

Top most and bottom most resistances are short circuited hence for simplification we can remove them while the system of two central resistances can be clubbed in parallel to form a 1 1 ohm resistance.
Hence the circuit simplifies to a two 4 4 ohm and one 1 1 ohm resistance in parallel which when simplified gives 2 3 \frac{2}{3} ohm. 2 + 3 = 5 \huge \therefore 2+3=\boxed{\color{#007fff}{5}}
