What is the total resistance of a circuit where I have 4 resistors arranged so that they are parallel and the value of resistance for each resistor is 8 ohms.

The answer is 2.

1/RT=1/8+1/8+1/8+1/8 therefore 1/RT=4/8 and to find the value of total resistance in this circuit you must take the reciprocal of the fraction 4/8 which in effect means 1 divided by 4/8 which gives you 1 multiplied by 8/4 hence the value for total resistance is 2 ohms.
