A number theory problem by Esmin Kattan-Howard

Larry typed 9/20 of his book report on his computer. Then he printed out 5/12 of his book report on his computer printer. Suddely, there was a power outage, and he discovered that he hadn't saved his book report before the power went off. What fractional part of the book report was lost when the power failed?

13/16 21/80 1/30 1/20 7/12

11/ 20 h as not been typed, and so saved. 5/12 is. Typed. So 11/20 + 5/12 = 29/30 is saved. 1/30 Lost.
