Toughest easy probability question...

An amateur archer is trying to hit a small target 100 meters away.

Pankaj: "The probability of hitting the target is very small."
Lakshya: The probability is 1 2 , \frac12, because the target will either be hit or missed and the result is 1 of these 2 observations."

Who is correct?

Pankaj is correct because Lakshya's statement have no sense because Probability of hitting a target is calculated by area, not with hitting or missing.

If Lakshya's statement is correct then every event will have Probability half, because it will occur or not occur.
