The triangle ABC is similar/proportional to ADE, because they have equal angles. Then this implies edges proportionals. Then ((8,6+2,4)=11=AB), AB/BC = 6,8/DE. From here, you can calculate DE=(6,8 x 5,5)/11=3,4
