Simple, but enough to demonstrate recursion. Yeah, just count the outer triangles going inward.

Yes, this was meant to be a fun question. I was drawing many squares and that the question came to me. I was slightly surprised that no additional triangles were created.

It's not critical. Just count d triangles. There's no trick.

all the normal triangle are here. you don't have to find the hidden triangles as there is no hidden triangle.

I was slightly sad that there were no hidden triangles. I really wanted there to be one, as it wasn't immediately clear.
