I think,since the earth is rotating so if the man started from a point no doubt he may reach that point but the position of earth may not be same as before(when he started),if the whole universe is taken into consideration the displacement may not necessarily be 0 :)

As he started and and returned to the same point his displacement is 0

though distance might vary
