The answer lies in the first equation:
x + y 17 = 3 z \boxed{x + y -17 = 3 - z}
Add 17 + z to both sides:
x + y + z = 20 \boxed{x + y + z = 20}
The answer : 20 \boxed{20}


x+y+z=20, z=1+x, thus 2x+y+1=20, 2x+y=19 which was asked i.e x+y+x=2x+y, so answer must be 19
