α = arctan ( 1 2 ) \alpha = \arctan(\frac{1}{2}) , β = arctan ( 1 3 ) \beta = \arctan(\frac{1}{3}) , so α + β = π 4 \alpha + \beta = \frac{\pi}{4}

can i ask what is tricky in this?
