Let u = x and d v = e^(-x) d x

and d u = d x and v = - e^(-x)

[-x e^(-x)] + Integrate e^(-x) d x

= 0 - [e^(-x)]

= 0 - 0 + e^0

= 1

This is equal to Gamma(2) = 1! = 1

First do integration by parts and then apply limits First term would be -x*e-x which will give 0 on appling limits Second term would be -e-x which would give 1 on applying the limits
