if A is equiangular then A=pi/2 & B+C=pi/2
{cos(A)}^2+{cos(B)}^2+{cos(C)}^2={cos(pi/2)}^2+{cos(B)}^2+{cos(pi/2-B)}^2={cos(B)}^2+{sin(B)}^2=1

Good use of the basic trigonometry identity.
