If cos(3x) = 1/3 , x =(1/3)Arccos(1/3) = 23.50959312. Let this be A. If C = pi/3 = 60 degrees, then B = 180 - 60 - 23.50959312 = 96.49040688. Then cos(3B) = 1/3.
