A trophy has three isosceles triangles embedded in a sphere. One edge of each triangle is tangent to the sphere and is bisected at the point of tangency. The vertex of the triangle at the centre of the sphere forms a central angle with lines extending beyond the sphere. Determine the length of x, to the nearest tenth of a centimeter.
The answer is 8.5.
