logical question , you only have to notice the "AND" differentiate it from "OR" The Correct Statement Should Be x=1, OR x=2

hy its Abhiijeet , why cant it be a "and" maybe both 1 and 2 lie in the domain of x

If ( x - 1 )( x - 2 ) = 0 then, x = 1 AND x = 2 ---> 1 = 2 which is wrong. Because the true statement is "If ( x - 1 )( x - 2 ) = 0 then, x = 1 OR x = 2.

If (x-1)(x-2)=0 then x=1 OR x=2. It may be either 1 or 2 or both but not only both

If

( x 1 ) ( x 2 ) = 0 (x-1)(x-2)=0

Then

x = 1 , 2 x=-1,-2 not 1 and 2

this one was really tricky. All you had to do was to notice the "and".
