If x = 2, then x/2 = y ---> 2 /2 = 1. And 2 is a prime numbers

We can see that x must be divisible by two, thus an even number, in order for y to be an integer. Following that logic, x can be any even number (... -4,-2,0,2,4 ...).

x = 2 will result in y=1 which satisfies the conditions but shows that x is prime, thus the part "x will always be a composite number" will not be true.

Answer = False
