There are three types people in America. The one from Florida always tells the truth, the one from Texas always lies and the one from New York does both.

If an American says he is from Texas where is he actually from?

Let's suppose that he is a liar, so he lives in Texas. But he will be telling the truth, so that is a contradiction. He can't live in Florida, so he must live in New York.

Only a New Yorker is 'shameless' and 'bold' enough to deceptively claim to hail from Texas.
