The slope of a line is equal to the ratio rise run \frac{ \text{rise} } { \text{run} } . By drawing lines between these points, we see that the slope is steepest (large absolute value) from point A to B.

what is its formula?

I've stated that the formula for slope is "rise over run". Rise is the change in the y-coordinate, Run is the change in the x-coordinate.

We can observe that the largest absolute value is between points A and B.

Yup it should have been mentioned. B-C and C-D has negative slope as tan angle A is < 0 where 90 < A < 180.
