( 2 2 ) 2 = ( 2 ) 4 = 16 (-2^{-2})^{-2} = (-2)^{4} = \boxed{16}

I think that the last (-2) in the exponent is actually elevated and not multiplied.

( 2 2 ) 2 = ( 1 2 2 ) 2 = 1 ( 1 4 ) 2 = 16 \large{(-2^{-2})^{-2}=(-\frac{1}{2^2})^{-2}=\frac{1}{(-\frac{1}{4})^2}=\boxed{16}}

first : solve the archs ... = (1/4)^-2 (turned the value) second step : we will turn it again to remove the minus , so it's 4^2 =16

First solve the number in the brace the number is (-2)power -2 that means (1/-2) power 2 so answer in brace is (-1/4) so next problem in the question is (-1/4)power-2 that means 4 power 2 answer finally is 16
